Jesus is Lord of death and life

“Death pursues us
And will soon be reaching us
For all have sinned and are appointed to die
Then face God’s judgment throne up on High.

Death is our rightful wage,
It terrorizes and binds us in chains
Pain and suffering, it causes so much
There’s no escape for the children of wrath.

Fools say there is no God
They try to comfort themselves in this
But even so, they must do confess
They fear God’s judgment and they have no rest.

But Jesus died and rose again
So all who are in Him have peace
And stand before the God of Grace
Forever see Him smiling face to face
For Jesus is Lord of Death and Life.

But Jesus conquered the grave
So all who are in Him may live
And stand before the God of Grace
Forever see Him smiling face to face
For Jesus is Lord of Death and Life.”
