SOME Excerpts and Lessons from TODAY’s MEssages
"THE TEMPLE OF GOD" 1 Cor 3:16-17 Implications 1. The church should be distinguished as a Holy Church 2. The main feature of your church should be the presence of God 3. Consider it a great priviledge and a great blessing to go to worship where God is pleased to dwell. Our primary yearning is to meet with God. "Without God's presence as the main feature and attraction of the church, we are a social club at best." "There are churches that are high on truth but low on love." Why must we watch Spiritual Pride? ~ Ptr. Rolly Seveses 1. It is easy to fall in it. 2. It is unreasonable to be prideful. 3. It is opposed by God. 4. It leads to downfall and dishonor. 5. It cannot plead for God's gracious & favorable presence. (It hinders God's presence.) 6. It weakens the church's foundation. 7. It is a mark of the apostate church of the last days. "THE CHURCH OF THE LIVING GOD" 1. THE OWNERSHIP OF THE CHURCH 2. THE COMPOSITION OF THE CHURCH 3. THE DIMENSIONS OF THE CHURCH "The owner of the church is not any person, not the pastor or the deacons. The owner of the church is Jesus Christ himself who bought it with His blood"
“There is no flourishing and growing church that is immuned from the attack of the enemies.”Ptr. Rolly Seveses
The Significance of Christ's Resurrection Part 4: Adam-Christ Analogy Text: 1 Cor.15:21-22 Message: The resurrection of Christ resolved universal death in Adam for those who are in Christ. 1. Death in Adam 2. Life in Christ The resurrection of Christ guarantees that all who belong to Him by faith shall live rise again in the last days (Read: John 5:24 …passed from death to life). If you are in Christ, there is life (v.45). Without the resurrection of Christ, there’s no guarantee that we will rise again, and that death is conquered in victory (v.54).
‘Between these two persons there is this relation, that the one ruined us by involving us in his destruction, the other by his grace has restored us to salvation.’John Calvin (Institutes, II.i.6.)
