#108 Kaya mo bang ganapin ang Sampung Utos?

Wala.

English Version

Q.108.  Can you keep the Ten Commandments perfectly?

A. No. Since the fall of Adam, the only One who has been able to do this is Jesus. (Ecc 7:20)

Surely there is not a righteous man on earth who does good and never sins.
Ecclesiastes 7:20 ESV

After our children learned what the ten commandments of God teach, they should know, and parents should emphasize that they cannot keep them. Although the law can give life to those who obey it (Le 18: 5, Luk 10:28; Rom 10: 5; Gal 3:12), sinful man can no longer keep it. It is clear from our text that there is no righteousness on earth. What the law requires is not just to fulfill one, but to fulfill all. If you fail in one you violate all of it. And none of us can say that we have accomplished it from our childhood until now.

However, scripture still shows that what God’s righteousness demands have not changed: full obedience to it. We have all fallen and disobeyed it (James 2:10). But thank God that He sent His Son Jesus to keep the law. He lived righteously, though He was tempted He did not sin (Romans 8: 3, Hebrews 4:15). As a result, those who trust in Him will no longer face God’s judgment because Christ’s perfect righteousness has been clothed upon them.

To God be the glory!
