- For accuracy as “the translator’s translation”: NET
- For accuracy with readability: NIV
- For understated elegance: ESV
- For elegance with “rich words” and that is “literary”: KJV and REB
- For ecumenical (not one of his three criteria but Wallace still mentioned it): NRSV
