O Lord, you are my God; I will exalt you; I will praise your name, for you have done wonderful things, plans formed of old, faithful and sure.
Isaiah 25:1 ESV
The twentieth LORD’s Day is a day of celebration. A celebration of the resurrection of Jesus Christ (as what the LORD’s Day is). But much more so since we learned about the New Testament change as a rationale for the LORD’s Day.
SOME Excerpts and Lessons from TODAY’s MEssages
This is the reason why we love it, and would keep it entire. We love everything that is Christ’s…. We love His word, His house, His table, His people. And we love the Lord’s Day, because it is His. Every hour of it is dear to us – sweeter than honey, more precious than gold. It is the day He rose for our justification. It reminds us of His love, and His finished work, and His rest. And we may boldly say that that man does not love the LordJesus Christ who does not love the entire Lord’s Day…”
Robert Murray McCheyne
THE NEW TESTAMENT CHANGE 1. It was the day when Christ rose from the dead. 2. "It was the day that Christ's Lordship was formally proclaimed over all men." 3. It was the day that God gave the Holy Spirit to the Church 4. It was the day that all Christ's post-resurrection appearance to His disciples happened 5. It was the day that Christ's disciples are gathered
Text: Romans 12:1-2 ESV PRINCIPLES OF SANCTIFICATION 1. MOTIVE OF THE HEART - "by the mercies of God" 2. FOCUS OF THE APPEAL - "...to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship." "It is not worship for worship's sake but we worship to get more of God in our lives"
We cannot always get what we want… Whatever God ordains is right.
HGCBC Cavite Pulpit
"The sacrifice of Christ is according to God's plan and may we see that Christ is the God-man who died for us." "Our salvation caused the Son of God to be incarnated and humiliated" "Deny Christ's humanity- we cannot be represented; Deny Christ's deity- we cannot be saved."
Message: Sinning is not a true believer’s identity because it (sinning) is of the devil. Text: 1 John 3:7-8a Since sinning is of the Devil, Christians should be clear about two things: 1. A Unique Identity - We are not of devil, we are Christ's 2. A Significant Contrast - There is a clear distinction between those who are in Christ and those who are of the devil. THERE IS NO MIDDLE GROUND!
To sin is to reject God. To do what is right is to honor God.
Blessed Lord’s Day!
