And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near.
Hebrews 10:24-25
The eighth LORD’s Day this year is a reminder of God’s sovereign providence even over evil things that occur in this world. All things happen for the greater glory of God and the good of His people. Yes, even evil things!
We must also hold to the truth of God’s word and not neglect the great salvation brought by the Risen LORD. Christ must be honored. In honoring Him, we must honor His written Word. In honoring Him, we must strive to be like Him daily, while depending on the satisfying work of the Spirit.
