Dahil sa araw na ito muling nabuhay ang Panginoong Hesu-Kristo (Jn 20:1)

Sinasabi sa atin ng Kasulatan na ang Panginoong Jesu-Kristo ay matagumpay na nabuhay mula sa mga patay sa unang araw ng linggo (Mateo 28:1; Marcos 16:1-2; Lucas 24:1; Juan 20:1, 19). Ang araw ng pagkabuhay na mag-uli ay inilarawan bilang ang maluwalhating araw kung saan si Jesucristo, na nabuhay mula sa mga patay, na tinapos ang Kanyang gawain ng pagbabayad-sala para sa Kanyang mga tao, ay pumasok sa Kanyang kapahingahan sa kaluwalhatian.
Isinulat ng salmista ang tungkol kay Jesucristo, na siyang “bato na itinakuwil ng mga tagapagtayo ay naging pangunahing batong panulok” (Mga Awit 118:22). Binanggit ni Pedro ang talatang ito sa Mga Gawa 4:11 na tumutukoy sa muling pagkabuhay ng Panginoong Jesucristo. Ang unang araw ng linggo, ang araw ng pagkabuhay na mag-uli ng ating Panginoon ay nagsimula ng Bagong Panahon, ang Bagong Paglikha (II Corinto 5:17; Galacia 6:15).
Mahalagang malaman at maunawaan ng bata kung bakit natin tinatawag na Araw ng Panginoon ang araw ng linggo, dahil ito ay magsasabi kung paano sila kikilos sa loob ng Iglesiya.
Ito ay gabay sa mga magulang sa pagtuturo gamit ang Katekismong Baptist para sa mga bata.

Q.94. Why is it called the Lord’s Day?
A. Because on that day the Lord Jesus Christ rose from the dead. (Jn 20:1)
Now on the first day of the week Mary Magdalene came to the tomb early, while it was still dark, and saw that the stone had been taken away from the tomb.

The Scripture tells us that the Lord Jesus Christ victoriously rose from the dead on the first day of the week (Matthew 28:1; Mark 16:1-2; Luke 24:1; John 20:1, 19). The resurrection day is described as the glorious day where Jesus Christ, having risen from the dead, completing His work of atonement for His people, entered His rest in glory.
The psalmist writes about Jesus Christ, who is the “stone which the builders rejected has become the chief cornerstone” (Psalms 118:22). Peter cites this verse in Acts 4:11 referring to the resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ. The first day of the week, the resurrection day of our Lord ushered the beginning of the New Age, the New Creation (II Corinthians 5:17; Galatians 6:15).
It is important for the child to know and understand why we call Sunday the Lord’s Day because it will tell how they will behave in the Church.
