The Duration and Permanence of the Ordinances

  • Baptism -The great commission which includes baptism is to be continued till the end (Mt 28:19-20).
  • Lord’s Supper – It anticipates the great wedding feast of the land when the Lord returns in glory to claim His bride (1 Co 11:26)

The Ordinances of the New Covenant are to be observed till the end of age according to God’s plan.

SCBC Morning Message: Expository Series on the Book of Romans (Ptr. jeremiah)

Romans 10:5-8

Two formulas of salvation:

  1. Man’s instinct – Legal “Do this and live” (5)
  2. God revealed – Grace, “Believe and live” (6-8)
Salvation is not by attainment but by atonement. It is not by human merit but by God's mercy. It is not by beginning a new start but by a new heart. It is not "DO", but "DONE".

SCBC Afternoon Message: Expository series on the book of Isaiah (Bro. Jeff)

Isaiah 7:17-25

The Consequence of not Trusting God: Judgment

  1. Its Sovereign Accomplishment (17-20)
  2. Its Severe Execution (21-25)
The very idols of our hearts will be used by God to discipline or judge us.

OFW Message: Expository series on the book of galatians (Ptr. jeremiah)

Galatians 5:22-24

A life filled with the Spirit

  1. Our attitude toward God – love, joy, peace
  2. Our actions toward others – patience, kindness, goodness
  3. Our virtues we need to cultivate – faithfulness, gentleness, self-control
True love for God involves a commitment of one's life to Him and to His people caused by the working of the Spirit. Christianity is not a heartless religion.
