The lesson on this pandemic should not be taken with worldly interest but must be “God-centered.”
- Keep in our hearts and mind that there is only one supreme and sovereign God.
“I form light and create darkness; I make well-being and create calamity; I am the LORD, who does all these things.” Isaiah 45:7 - We cannot boast of our wealth, health, popularity and anything that we have.
“But let him who boasts boast in this, that he understands and knows me, that I am the Lord who practices steadfast love, justice, and righteousness in the earth. For in these things I delight, declares the Lord.” Jeremiah 9:24 - This pandemic is a form of God’s warning. In his coming judgment, especially to those evil and wicked.
“I will punish the world for its evil, and the wicked for their iniquity; I will put an end to the pomp of the arrogant, and lay low the pompous pride of the ruthless.” Isaiah 13:11 - It reminds us that we can do nothing apart from Christ.
“I am the vine; you are the branches. Whoever abides in me and I in him, he it is that bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing.” John 15:5
You may think that the coronavirus can stop people from doing their sins or worldly pleasure and activities. Let me tell you this: it is a big “NO”! See the world today and you will find out that people are continually doing what can satisfy their flesh.
This is a clear manifestation that the hearts of men are wicked. That even with this kind of pandemic, they will choose to follow the calling of their flesh and do unrighteous things.
Unless God works in their lives, they will not see the clear message of the Coronavirus. And this is to invite people to God’s feet, to see that sin is more dangerous than the Coronavirus, that the real battle is between you and your sin. And you cannot win in this battle.
“You need Jesus to overcome this. We need Him for cleansing and forgiveness of our sin, for our salvation.”
This message is a reminder that there is a God who rules the universe and we cannot escape His judgment that each of us will face before his throne. May this present situation leads those living in sin to seek God and the truth, the truth that you are a sinner and you need Jesus for cleansing and forgiveness of your sin. Repent of your sin and come to Christ now!
SOLI DEO GLORIA!
Excellent! “This message is a reminder that there is a God who rules the universe and we cannot escape His judgment that each of us will face before his throne. ”
Blessings.
